I got this app because I couldnt remember how long to boil eggs for. I always just kept them in boiling water for like 15 minutes, but wanted to get a little better and a softer yolk. Their app told me to bring the water to a boil and then remove from heat before starting the timer. As a result, the eggs cooked slower, and came out perfect. The rest of the app has a ton of recipes. A lot more useful than I was expecting. Great job.

Good tips, nice timer. and a few new recipes

First off, the app does not give an audio alert if you have music playing, big negative there. The desired hardness slider is not very accurate, tends to be on the hard side. Best way to use this app is to take note of the time required once, and then use a real timer based on that for future eggs.

I like this app and would give it five stars, but it checks for updates every time I open it. Time consuming and annoying.

Loved my little egg timer, but now it wont open. Today it goes to Checking for Updates and then closes. Disappointed.

I got this app because I needed to make the "perfect" egg, but I realized the timer is flawed. The app calculates a timer based on the premise that you boil water and then remove the pan from the heat letting the residual heat cook the egg. This makes you wait an unnecessary amount of time for your eggs. For example, for well done large eggs, it calculates 22 minutes!!! Who waits 22 minutes for well done eggs? It will take tops 5-6 minutes in constant boiling water. Now obviously I didnt use this app for well done eggs but theres definitely a better way to cook eggs than what this app suggests.

I have used this app for nearly three years. Every morning I make a perfectly poached (soft) extra large egg. It has been great. BBUT the latest update now calls for 5 minutes for an extra large egg. The previous 4 was perfect. They still have 2 minutes for a medium egg and 3 for large so 5 makes no sense. Also the app always takes time to check for an update whenit launches but it isnt really checking.
